Corrigent Systems was established in 2000 with the mission of developing
next generation packet-based platforms for use in large public and private
telecommunications networks. Corrigent's CM-100 family of products,
launched in 2003, was the world’s first packet-based transport platform.
It delivered unmatched performance to service providers looking to build
converged networks that carry packetized voice, video and data along with
traditional TDM services. Corrigent’s CM-4000 Carrier Ethernet Transport
product line, launched in 2007, leverages Corrigent’s early market
leadership to offer the most advanced Carrier Ethernet transport solution
available in the market. It represents the convergence of traditional
transport with state-of-the-art Carrier Ethernet switching, to provide
the most scalable, reliable and efficient solution for aggregation,
switching and transport of Ethernet and TDM traffic.
Markets and Applications
Corrigent's products are designed for Service Providers, MSOs and large
private networks. Corrigent's Carrier Ethernet Transport product lines
is optimized for the following applications:
- Application aware delivery of residential multi-play with content-rich
services including IPTV, BTV, VoD, OTT Video, Gaming on demand, VoIP and HSIA
- Business Ethernet E-Line and E-LAN Services delivery with
differentiated QoS and SLA assurance
- Converged aggregation and transport network supporting scalable
delivery of new packet based services together with legacy TDM services
- SONET/SDH to Ethernet interworking, enabling cost-effective
migration of packet services carried over TDM interfaces to the
Ethernet-centric network
